Solid Rock Centre is multicultural church in the heart of Inchicore, Dublin, Ireland.

As part of their repositioning strategy to better reach their community, they invited me to help create a brand experience that would reinforce and translate the same message.

I started by conducting an internal and external brand audit to get a better understanding of where the brand stood, against where they wanted to be. From my findings, we realised the church had a strong sense of community and the word was the strongest pull to the church. Together with the leaders, we then mapped out the new brand position, with the following pillars: Discipleship (Word), Family (Community), Worship.

The first stage of the reposition was the name changing from Solid Rock Church to Solid Rock Centre. To help maintain the Christian ethos of the organisation within the identity, I looked to a couple of widely recognisable elements — the cross and stained glass windows. These two elements would both form the foundation and framework for the visual identity system.
